About RentVouchers
Voucher housing deserves better tools.
Why this exists
More than 2.3 million U.S. households hold a housing voucher, yet most never make it past the search phase before their voucher expires. In New York alone, 40 to 50% of vouchers expire before a placement happens. The reason isn't that voucher tenants are hard to place — it's that the tools to connect them with willing landlords don't exist.
What we're building
RentVouchers is a two-sided marketplace where voucher holders find landlords who actually accept their voucher type, and where landlords reach qualified, motivated tenants. Listings are tagged with the specific programs each landlord accepts (Section 8, CityFHEPS, FHEPS, HASA, and more). Voucher documents can be uploaded for verification. Communication happens through the platform.
Our launch markets
We're launching in New York and Pennsylvania first — the markets where our team has the strongest relationships and where voucher demand is highest. NYC's Local Law 10 protections against source-of-income discrimination create a legal tailwind for the platform. Once we prove the model in NY and PA, we'll expand.
How we make money
RentVouchers is free for voucher holders. Always. Landlords list for free and pay only when a placement happens — through a tiered flat fee small enough that brokers can use the platform as a tool and still keep their full one-month commission.
Compliance
We are not a government agency. We do not guarantee housing approval or placement. We're a private matching and lead-generation platform built to make voucher housing search faster and more transparent for everyone involved.
